Margaret Freeman Obituary

Margaret S. Freeman POQUOSON - Margaret Stephenson "Sue" Freeman, 91, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010 at Dominion Village. Born in Ivor, Va., Sue was retired from the City of Norfolk Parks and Recreation, Fairlawn Center where she was a supervisor. She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church since 1952 and was also a member of the Fairlawn Advisory Committee and the Wards Corner Civic League. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed being around family and friends. Sue was the widow of Edward Vincent Freeman and is survived by a daughter, Louise Freeman Peters an husband David of Poquoson; two grandchildren, Suzanne J. Nehme of Poquoson and Paul E. Peters of Newport News; and two great-grandchildren, Amy and Mark Nehme of Poquoson. The family would like to thank the staff at Dominion Village and Hospice Community Care in Poquoson. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with the Rev. Keith Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour before the service and all other times at Sue Nehme's residence at 10 Gordon Drive, Poquoson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
