George James Obituary

George Leroy James CHESAPEAKE - George Leroy James, 63, of Franklin Street, went to be with the Lord May 8, 2010. He was born in South Norfolk to the late Elmer Lee and Virgie Smith James. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn James; children, Ronald Troyer, Shelia Strickland, Sharon James, Sheryl James, Evelyn Latham, Laura Latham and Joann James; a brother, Delbert James; 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, today from 6 to 7 p.m. Please light a candle and leave a note to the family in his "Book of Memories" at www.grahamfuneralhome. com.

I had the pleasure of working with George at CRMP in Chesapeake. I knew he had been sick through some of our co-workers and was saddened to hear of his passing. But rest assured family members...George is healed now and is in a better place. My personal thoughts and condolences are with the family at this time.
