Betty MacDonald Obituary

Betty B. MacDonald VIRGINIA BEACH - Betty B. MacDonald passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia Beach on May 9, 2010. She was born and raised in Washington, D.C. Betty graduated from the University of Maryland in 1942 with a degree in home economics. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and as a Navy wife received numerous awards for her many hours of volunteer work for the Navy Relief Society and the American Red Cross. Betty is survived by her husband of 66 years, Eugene MacDonald of Virginia Beach; son, Stephen MacDonald of Winter Park, Fla.; son, Douglas MacDonald and his wife Lynda of Virginia Beach; and her grandson, Scott MacDonald of Virginia Beach. A private service and burial will be held at later date in Arlington National Cemetery. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.cremate.org.
