Phyllis Royster Obituary

Phyllis Royster CHESAPEAKE - Phyllis Royster, 52, of the 4200 block of Foxglove Court, entered into eternal rest June 11, 2010. She was a devoted member of the Love Christian Center where she served as a young adult choir member, on the witnessing team, and as a past Sunday school teacher. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Lorene Royster; one sister, Barbara Fennel; three brothers, Corbette, Willie B., and Michael Royster; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Willie G. Royster; her sister, Ada Royster; and her brother, Wilbert Scarborough. A homegoing service will be Tuesday, June 15, at noon at Love Christian Center, 143 S. Saratoga St., Suffolk, where Pastor Willie B. Royster will officiate. Burial will be at Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing will begin today at noon to 7 p.m. at Steele-Bullock Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at 1050 Belle Orchard Lane, Suffolk, at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church.
