Mildred Bartlett Obituary

Mildred V. Bartlett CHESAPEAKE - Mildred Virginia Bartlett, 85, of the 1800 block of Arlean Drive, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in a local hospital. Born March 6, 1925 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia in Saxis, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Rachael Linton. Mildred was a Navy wife for more than 20 years and loved playing bingo and pokeno. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Bartlett; a grandson, "Boo" Ancheta; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Henrietta Ancheta and husband Amador; two grandchildren, Lisa Bradshaw and Steven Ancheta and wife Jeannette; 10 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Tommy, Austin, Ashtin, Aiden, Heather, Jordan, Alexus, Maya and Brianna; and special family friends, Robin Smith and Steve Bradshaw. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Mike Putnam. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence, 1809 Arlean Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23321 immediately following the service Saturday.
