Hey Master Chief! Thinking of you today on this Memorial Day 2025. Thank you for always giving me a cheery "Hey shipmate! Morning!" I was new to the Navy, but you helped me see that no matter the rank, we were all sailors and a Navy family! Watch over all of us from up there, and I will see you when it's my turn to come Home!

I met Paul when we both were stationed in Orlando, FL. I was a kid just out of boot camp and he was the 1st Lt. on the base. We met when we both played in the Base Recreation Services band together. I was a guitarist and vocalist and he was the drummer. He treated me almost like a kid brother. I would go sit in his office and we would talk for a while a few times a week and he gave me such good counsel, not because he was a chief and I was a young sailor, but because that's just the type of person he was. I have never forgotten then talks and the bond we formed. Rest in Peace my old friend.

My dearest Paul, was thinking of you today. This is the month that we started talking to each other after so many years. I was going through a lot with my separation to my husband at the time. You were there for me to talk to and always keeping my spirits up. We shared some new memories and held onto the old ones. I miss you but thankful that you wrote to me a month before you were taken away from us. God be with you always.. Love you, Patty McGuire xoxo

I've wanted to keep Paul's MEMORY ALIVE, not just for myself, but, for all whom loved him as I do! So, today I have purchased PAUL S. JANDREAU'S " GUEST BOOK", PERMANENTLY.
Please, feel you can come here ANYTIME you would like.

I felt you in the wind today, saw you in the sun, heard you whispering everywhere I turned. The tears still taste salty, I stopped to smell the flowers too, I danced, a smile on my face but I still think of you.

Baby Brother,This makes several times I tried to write to you. I want you to know you are & always be here in my heart. Why? You, of all people, did not deserve this. I wonder, if will I have the strength to get through my life without you? I'd never guessed you would be the first to leave us. You are my "Best Friend"! I will, always, talk to you from above, but will never hear your voice again to answer my questions of advice from your voice. How will I get through this, Paul? We have NEVER been this long without speaking to one another. I WILL always NEED you! I do need to Thank You for leaving us with all the many friends you have made, which are now ours as well. And, of course there is a wonderful close net with your exteneded, Godsend family. Thanks them you are at peace. How do we thank them enough? Impossible!! Paulie-Wogs, I am missing you so much. My arms are reaching out to you...I miss those great big hugs you given me and your laughter. I will feel & hear them, again one day. 'Go Rest High On That Mountain' Your work here on earth is done...Rest In Peace "Baby Brother"

So much light and laughter to so many; extinguished too soon. At the risk of sounding trite, you are sailing on an ocean of tears shed by all of us whose lives you touched. For Paul's family, you meant the world to him, no one was prouder of you and he made sure to tell me that he loved you. I'm passing it on.

Christina and Stephanie,
I was very saddened to hear about the death of your father. He was a good friend, as well as a good shipmate. I will always have very fond memories of your father from our time together at ACU4. I particularly recall one morning when we got the phone call saying that you had rolled your car on the way to school and were being brought to Norfolk General via Nightingale. That's all the information that we had, and until the chopper landed (which seemed like forever), we didn't know what condition either of you were in. I was the one who drove your father to the hospital and waited with him until you landed and we found out that you were going to be okay. We talked about our children a lot that morning and I do know for a fact that he loved both of you tremendously and that he was proud of you. He will be missed.

Master Chief Paul, I will never forget the first time we met aboard USS ASHLAND when we were evading Hurricane Bonnie in '98. I knew right then you were a stand-up leader who took care of his people.
Then later on to come back & serve with you at ACU 4, truly was an honor for me. You were a professional without equal. Also enjoyed the many liberty calls we had together, San Diego & points south, Panama City with the oysters, etc, ...although I always had a hard time keeping pace with you.
Thanks for all you have given; to friends, shipmates, the Navy & Country. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Jandreau Family, Please accept my sincerest heartfelt sympathy and condolance in your time of sorrow.
I had the pleasure of working for Paul twice in my Navy career. First onboard USS Biddle (CG-34) at the very beginning of my career. He was the BMC in First Division and I was the new recruit. He showed me wha tit was like to be in the Fleet. I met up with him again 12 years later at EWTGLANT. By this time he was the Command Master Chief and I was the Facilities Chief. I worked closely with him and got to know him much better. I never forgot him during those intervening 12 years. He will be greatly missed. The world suddenly became a little less bright without him.

My prayers go out to your family and friends. A tragic loss of such a great man.
I have so many memories of you from ACU 4. I don't believe a day went by without you stepping into the Training Office and making everyone laugh and smile. You helped me through a rough time in my life, and talked to me like a person. You told me several times that life was worth living to the fullest, and you led by example on your every word. You were a true leader and a valued friend. You gave 110% all the time, and wouldn't except any less from anyone that worked for or with you.
Thank you Paul for your confidence in all of the sailor's lives you touched. I will never forget you, and even now, I can hear that wonderful, contagious laugh of yours.
Fair Winds and following seas, may Heaven's navigation team be ready for the wonders of a BMCM and friend like you.
