Leona C. Baynor

Leona C. Baynor CHESAPEAKE - Leona Cutler Baynor died July 6, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Oliver and Sidney Cutler. She was predeceased by her husband, L. Roy Baynor; her grandson, Bob Baynor; as well as eight of her brothers and sisters. She was an active member of the Deep Creek United Methodist Church where she was in the Mary Tyus Sunday School Class. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Lee Baynor and wife Margaret; daughter, Bert Baynor Matthews and husband Winston; granddaughter, Deborah Baynor-Matthews and husband Paul; great-granddaughter, Sydney Baynor Matthews; sister, Laura Cutler Webster; and her many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, at Deep Creek United Methodist Church, 141 N. George Washington Hwy. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Allen & Esther Wright Food Pantry at Deep Creek United Methodist Church, 141 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA 23323.
