John G. Parker SUFFOLK - John Gerald "Jerry" Parker, 79, of Driver Lane, died July 10, 2010 in a Norfolk hospital. A native of North Carolina, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lippard Parker and a daughter, Debra Parker. Jerry was the retired owner/operator of Parker's Exxon on Taylor Road. He attended Beech Grove United Methodist Church, was a minor league baseball player, an avid fisherman, bowled in several bowling leagues, and an Army veteran. Survivors include two daughters, Dena Parker Kozoyed and husband David of Suffolk and Donna Parker White and husband Darrell of Chesapeake; one sister, Dorothy Irwin of Portsmouth; and three grandchildren, Danielle White and Chad and Cassie Kozoyed. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 13, at 3 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Garland Hines.
