Loyed Williams Obituary

Loyed Richard Williams VIRGINIA BEACH - Loyed Richard Williams, 58, know as "Big Rick," joined his loved ones Sunday night after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Benjamin Williams and Lorena Williams. Rick was a 30-year employee at Lynnhaven Dive Center and considered them as family. If you did not see Big Rick at the dive center, you would find him riding his motorcycle on sunny days or even floating down the river in his canoe with friends. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Debbie; sons, Morgan and Parker and his wife Leah; sister, Phyllis Helton and husband Howard; brothers, David Williams and wife Margaret and Benjamin Williams; dozens of cousins; nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Mike Roberts. We will miss you. A celebration of Big Rick's life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Special thanks to Mike Hillier. Memorial donations may be sent to Hillier-LaRose Foundation, 1413 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Online condolences may be sent to hdoliver.com.
