Wall Family,
I was fortunate enough to work with and become friends with Bob during my short time at NAVSO/C4F prior to his passing. I quickly realized how important he was to our staff, how much he was respected, but most of all how much he was loved as a person. He made immediate and lasting impact on the lives of many people. My thoughts and prayers are with you but I know you have many wonderful memories that will comfort you through the years.

Wall Family, Joyce, Taylor and Jordan, I am truly sorry for the loss of your loved one. I worked for Capt. Wall at COMNAVSURFGRU TWO for approximately two years and was saddened and shocked when I learned of his passing. He was a "true Navy professional" in every sense. My son Dylan and Taylor have become friends at FSU which I feel is a very good thing and I am sure Bob would have also. I wish eveyone the proverbial Navy adage of "Fair Winds and Following Seas". Wall Family, Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your Family. CAPT Wall was certainly a man of honor and integrity. He an I talked many of nights while deployed on USS SPRUANCE (DD-963) about our families, and he'd always talk about how happy and proud he was of you all. I will always remember him and his "Quiet Warrior" approach. May God Bless You All.

Joy, Taylor and Jordan..no words can describe the language of my heart at this moment. I will never forget Robert, he was one of the few people that can leave a sweet everlasting memory because of the kindness he shared. You and the family are in my prayers and remember heaven has gained an angel...he is the angel of strength...please be strong ...God and Robert are watching over you. Joyce, Taylor and Jordan, I have no right words that can describe the language of sadness. I will never forget Robert,in the few times that me and the kids spent time with you guys in Nags Head, he had the gift of reaching the heart of others. CAPT Wall was my mentor and an incredibly gifted Naval Officer and leader. Demanding yet forgiving and exceptionally loyal to his subordinates, he epitomized a "destroyer captain". I already miss my friend and mentor but will carry the lessons he taught me for the rest of my career. Joyce, Taylor and Jordan: You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
