Ruby Poulos

Ruby S. Poulos VIRGINIA BEACH - Ruby S. Poulos, 75, of the 1800 block of Wolfsnare Road, passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2010. Born in Creswell, N.C., to the late Drucilla and Henry Steeley, Ruby was a catering manager for Giant Open Air Market and later Farm Fresh. She is survived by her husband, George Poulos; daughter, Evelyn Haseman and husband Eric; two sisters, Carolyn Drew and Evelyn Crisp; two brothers, Julian Staley and Delbert Steeley; two grandchildren, Tara Yoshikawa and Brian Haseman; two great-grandchildren, Jaeden and Kai Yoshikawa; nieces and nephews. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Virginia Beach with Father James Pavlow. Burial will follow in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hollomon Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, where a Trisagion service will be held at 7 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www. hollomon-brown.com.
