Lawrence VanBourgondien Obituary

Larry VanBourgondien CHESAPEAKE - Lawrence J. VanBourgondien, loving, dedicated husband, father and friend, passed from this life Sept. 1, 2010. Larry was employed with Weeks Marine Inc. as a Mid-Atlantic Division Marine Operations manager. Larry was energetic, full of life and always going out of his way to help others. He loved being on the water, in the water, around the water - swimming, diving, and running boats of all kinds. He leaves behind his wife, Marsha; sons, Kale and Charlie; his father, Matthew and his wife Patty; his mother, Odilia; brothers, Tom, Andy, Jack and Thys; and his sisters, Lilian and Jean. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. with a service at 11 a.m. at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Chesapeake Chapel. Family and friends are also welcome at the family home. Online condolences may be offered to the family through hdoliver.com.

Larry was a very special person that enriched my life in so many ways. I will always treasure the Jackie Onassis experience he shared with me. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children.
