Richard Mintz
April 29, 2011
I never had the pleasure of knowing A.P. but I just acquired his (I'm sure beloved) Bach Mt, Vernon Stradivarius trumpet (papers show that he purchased this on February 22, 1963). I wanted his family to know that it will be back in service in Houston, Texas in numerous venues and that it will be passed down to future generations of musicians in my immediate family as well. Musicians bsre their souls to the Lord through their music so I suspect there'll be just a bit of A.P.'s soul sounding out in Houston for many, many years to come.
With sympathies and regards,
Richard Mintz - Oboe/English Horn / Trumpet
