Elizabeth Boomer Obituary

Elizabeth G. Boomer VIRGINIA BEACH - Elizabeth G. Boomer has gone to be with our Lord Sept. 9, 2010 at 92 years of age. She was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Washington, D.C., to Purcell and Gertrude Carrick. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and the love of her life, Fred W. Boomer; a son, Fred W. Boomer Jr.; and two daughters, Barbara Jean Boomer and Judith B. Lamm-Kelley. Elizabeth was a full-time mother and devoted her life to her family. She loved her family with all of her heart especially the little ones. She is survived by two daughters, Georgia B. Robinson and husband Fred, Mary B. Butler of Norfolk and one son, George S. Boomer Sr. and wife Debbie of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a very loved brother-in-law, George S. Boomer of Virginia Beach. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Forest Lawn Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Rob Paylor. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Elizabeth's favorite fund - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 5700 Cleveland St., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.hollomon-brown.com.
