Dear Chuck and Family,

Words cannot begin to express how deeply shocked and saddened we are at Faye’s passing. We had just spoken with her Wednesday evening. You and Faye have been the best neighbors anyone could ever hope to have. You welcomed us into the neighborhood four years ago and treated us like an extension of your family. I am sure living beside two teenagers for four years has not been exactly fun, but Faye was like a surrogate Grandmother: a kind word and a switch from the tree, when needed! It didn’t even matter that we’re not of the same race, Faye always treated everyone the same. Faye was the backbone of the community: she knew everybody and was loved by all. Christmastime on our block did not officially start until Faye put up her decorations and delivered her holiday cakes. We will also miss teasing Faye about her beloved Dallas Cowboys, especially since Chuck and I are Redskins fans and my husband loves the Steelers! Simply put, Faye was a joy to our lives.
