Dorothy Ellis Obituary

Dorothy K. Ellis VIRGINIA BEACH - Dorothy K. Ellis, 86, of Brinson Arch, passed away peacefully Sept. 21, 2010. She is survived by her husband, Allan Ellis of 40 years; one sister, Florence Hummell of Ocala, Fla.; and one brother, Joseph Koerner of Haddenfield, N.J. And a very special thanks to her sister-in-law and dear friend Marie Landis. She was a dedicated, retired school teacher for the city of Virginia Beach public school system for 40 years. The family gives special thanks to the staff at Bayside Hospital and Virginia Beach Health Care and Rehab. Services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Condolences can be made at www.altmeyer.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
