Harold Bailey Obituary

Harold C. Bailey NORFOLK - Harold C. Bailey passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 18, 1931 to the late William G. and Agnes K. Bailey in Norfolk. He was predeceased by two brothers, Newton and James. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 34 dedicated years and from Pride Industries. He also worked briefly at First Baptist Church, Bute Street. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, India Bailey; four sons, Ricky, Kirk, Bryan (Cynthia) and Anthony (Gladys); two daughters, Karen and Annette; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother; five sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Mark RZUA Church, 1513 Colonial Ave. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby St. Chapel, is in charge. Condolences may be offered at www.metropolitanfuneralservice.com.
