L. Pribble Obituary

L. Marion Pribble NORFOLK - L. Marion Pribble, 82, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 1, 2010. She was born on March 25, 1928 in Blairs, Va., the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Lillie Mae Jones Payne. Marion was a member of Azalea Baptist Church in Norfolk. She was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues and belonged to the WIBC Bowling Association. Marion loved her family and will be missed deeply. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 62 years, Claude C. Pribble Sr. of Norfolk; daughter, Faye Summerlin of Virginia Beach; sons, Calvin Pribble and wife Carol of Suffolk and David Pribble and wife Kelly of Norfolk; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, (twin) Evelyn Finney, Frances Wyatt and Ann Clark all of Danville, Va., and numerous other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends today from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. A funeral will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association in Marion's name.
