Frances Kruger

Frances L. Kruger NORFOLK - Frances Labinger Kruger, 83, was born Jan. 21, 1927 in Hartford, Conn. Frances resided in Norfolk for 50 years with her husband, the late Manuel Leon Kruger and their three children. She died in St. Petersburg, Fla., after residing there for 14 years. She was the daughter and only child of Herman and Jeanette Labinger of Hartford and Norfolk. She is survived by her daughter, Ronda Kruger Israel (Aaron Israel) of Modi'in, Israel; sons, Lawrence (Leibel) Kruger and wife Aliza of Jerusalem, Israel, Merwin (Mordechai) Kruger and wife Tzippy of Bayswater, N.Y. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. While living in Norfolk, Frances was active in her synagogue, Temple Israel on Granby Street. She was a librarian for 25 years in the Norfolk City Public Library system. In St. Petersburg, Frances was an active member of Congregation B'nai Israel, Brandeis Women and the St. Petersburg chapter of Hadassah. A graveside service will be conducted in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Granby St., today, Oct. 4, at 1:30 p.m. The family requests that should any donations be made it would be appreciated if they would be made to Hadassah Hospital, Israel or Suncoast Hospice in St. Petersburg.
