Daddy, At the time of this post It has been just over 12 years or about 146 months since you passed. The World is a very different place then it was when you were here. However, it is the place that you prepared Me and All your children to survive and thrive.
I still remember All the stories you shared and the lessons you taught Me. The stories about growing up as an Indian (They say Native American now) and your stories about your time in the Military and Germany during WWII. Then there was the lessons about school, family, dogs, women, money, more Military and cars even though you never drove.
I think of you all the time and ask myself, 'Do I measure up'? and 'Would you be Proud of Me'? While I know that most Men (Myself included) could never measure up but you gave all that knew you an excellent example for which to strive. I'd like to think you'd be proud of Me but when I'm in doubt, I work harder at it.
Your guidance has made Me the Man that I am. I miss you Dad and I Love you for everything that you did for us.

I will truly miss you grand daddy. You let me braid your hair in those funny styles and sit in your lap and read you the newspaper. You're in a better place now. Rest easy!
