Janice, you were one spunky lady. Spread your wings and fly and enjoy the journey of your next adventure.

I remember how Dad (McClenny) used to tease Janice (his little sister) on the mountain roads in Colorado, going close to the edge where the driver could see it was safe, but a passenger in the backseat could not. I will never forget picking figs in Elizabeth City ("Betsy Town") and then eating Aunt Janice's delicious fig pudding. She also made the best sweet potato biscuits! And then there were the visits in Norfolk and Moyock and the walks on the beach at Nag's Head with Rosie. We miss you!

Janice radiated a rare graciousness and charm that made all who were privileged to be in her circle feel comfortably at home. Great sympathy is sent to all who loved her.

I have fond memories of visiting Aunt Janice in Norfolk when I was a youngster. We didn't have a TV, and Janice always made sure we could watch Lassie on hers on our Sunday visits. She is much missed.
