Eddie Odom Obituary

Eddie B. Odom Jr. PORTSMOUTH - Eddie Bridgers Odom Jr., 80, of Fairway Drive passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 in his residence. A native of Jackson, N.C., he was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Odom also served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Churchland Masonic Lodge No. 276. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena N. Odom. Survivors include a sister, Virginia Edwards and husband Earl and a brother, Mickey D. Odom and wife Judy, all of Chesapeake; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Tom Potter. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
