John Griffin Obituary

John Thomas Griffin PORTSMOUTH - John Thomas Griffin, 54, of the 4600 block of South St., passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 in his residence. A native of Durham, N.C., he was a retired ironworker. Survivors include his wife, Janet Lynn Griffin; two daughters, April and Tiffany Griffin, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Susan Harrell of Chesapeake; two brothers, Lee Griffin and David Griffin Sr., both of Chesapeake; and a grandson, Shawn Griffin. A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Bob Groves. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
