Lorraine Manley

Lorraine M. Manley VIRGINIA BEACH - Lorraine M. Manley, 81, of Larkwood Drive, went to be with the Lord, Oct. 29, 2010 in her home. Mrs. Manley, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Herbert and Dale Swann Marshall. She was retired and served as a member of the Inspector General Team and consultant. Mrs. Manley a longtime active member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and taught Sunday school for many years. Also, she was active in Faith Sunday School Class at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by a brother, J.C. Marshall. Survivors include her daughter, Terry Wilhelm and husband David of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters, Meredith and Allison; a niece, Roxy Marshall and her daughter, Melanie; nephews, Bubba Marshall and wife Cathy, Duane Marshall and wife Debbie and son Duane; and numerous cousins and friends. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Port Norfolk Baptist Church, Chapel by the Rev. Terry L. Taylor and Dr. Ector Hamrick. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth. A special thanks to Mid-Atlantic Regional Ambulance.
