Lizzie Yarborough Obituary

Lizzie A. Yarborough VIRGINIA BEACH - Lizzie Ardena Yarborough, 69, passed away quietly Oct. 31, 2010 after a two-year battle with angiosarcoma. Born in Yanceyville, N.C., Lizzie Ardena was the youngest daughter of the late Stephen and Lucille Poole. Lizzie earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Hampton University, previous to master's degree from Norfolk State University and Old Dominion University. Left to cherish her memory are a loving husband, Edgar Yarborough of Virginia Beach; three sons, Russell, Roland and Robert; two sisters, Ollie Mae and Edna; two grandchildren, Veronika and Spencer. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. at Town Center, 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach. A celebration of life service will be conducted Monday at noon in Mount Zion Baptist Church, 900 Middlesex St., Norfolk with Dr. Charles Hart presiding. Lizzie will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. www.beachfuneralandcremationservices.com. Kevin A. Sanderlin, funeral director.
