Helen Everhart NORFOLK - Helen Everhart, 95, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010. Born Helen Brandt Elsenhans Jan. 14, 1915 to parents Marguerite and George, she grew up in Camp Hill, Pa. Helen is survived by four children, Katharine Paull of Los Angeles, Calif., Anne Bradley of Great Falls, Va., Brandt Everhart of Suffolk, and James Everhart of Bethesda, Md. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Norfolk, in January 2011. Brandt and Laura, I am sorry to read your mother passed away, but I know how difficult it has been for your family. She is finally at peace.

When I started working for Lee's Friends in 1991, Helen was one of the first volunteers I met...and she quickly became one of my most favorite. She was the quintessential volunteer - compassionate, caring and steady. She was the best ambassador for our great group in the Hampton Roads Community we could have hoped for. She will surely be missed but most certainly not forgotten. We are keeping the Everhart family in our thoughts and prayers.
