Robert Vick Obituary

Robert V. Vick PORTSMOUTH - Robert Virgil Vick, 75, passed away Nov. 23, 2010. He was the son of the late Jack and Clara Vick. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Emily M. Hodge, William H. Vick, Jacqueline Kinney, Floyd G. Vick and very dear friend, Charles Sibley. He is survived by several nephews and nieces. After graduating from Churchland High School in 1955, he served in Korea with the Army. After his return he became design director at the Norfolk Naval Base and graduated from Old Dominion University where he received his B.F.A. Robert Vick was a renowned Virginia artist who has exhibited extensively throughout Virginia and North Carolina. He had various one-man shows and his work is collected by many corporate and private entities. He had traveled extensively to paint over the course of his life. He will be missed, loved and remembered by many friends and family and will forever live in our hearts and through his art. There be no services. In memory, donations may be made to The Charles K. Sibley Art Scholarship at Old Dominion University.
