Guy Hardy Obituary

Guy L. Hardy Jr. WINDSOR - Guy Lee Hardy Jr., 49, passed away Nov. 30, 2010. A lifelong resident of Windsor, he was the son of the late Guy Lee Hardy Sr. He was the owner of Big H Cycles, a member of Windsor Baptist Church and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and Mechanized Calvary. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shelley Mowry Hardy; a son, Jonathan Patrick Hardy; his mother, Betty Kello Hardy; a sister, Kathy Cobb; a brother, Ricky Hardy, all of Windsor; and his mother and father-in-law, Donald Franklin Mowry and Victoria Winner Mowry. A funeral will be held Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at Windsor Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bryan Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Windsor Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, Suffolk Chapter, 604 Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com.

I am sorry for the family's loss, and offer comfort and compassion to everyone. Guy's passing reaffirms how frail we really are, and how fleeting life is, but our God is most gracious and merciful, and Guy will be with Him.
