Mattie Reid Obituary

Mattie W. Reid DELTAVILLE - Mattie W. Reid, 78, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Henry "Hank" Reid; children, Patricia Haywood and husband Charlie, Detra Reid; grandchildren, April Voliva, Chip Haywood; four great-grandchildren; and brother, James Wade. Mattie was a retired employee of First Virginia Bank and a member of Westville Baptist Church. She was a very loving, giving person and a strong Christian. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where a service will follow. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Westville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 831, Mathews, VA 23109.
