Wilford Walters Obituary

Wilford Walters NORFOLK - Wilford "Boogie" Walters, 73, went to be with his heavenly Father Dec. 8, 2010. Boogie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a loyal and faithful friend to so many. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen; his two children, Edward Walters, Lynn Amann and her husband Tom; three grandchildren, Shawn Buddenhagen and wife Danni, Katie Bishop and Emmie Walters; three great-grandchildren, Madeline and Sophie Buddenhagen and Chloe Bishop. Wilford served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy. He was also a devout member of RO Tate Bible Class at Coleman Place Presbyterian Church for many years. He served his community every day in some way. Job well done, good and faithful servant. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southeastern Virginia Foodbank or any charity of your choice. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.altmeyer.com.
