Eleanor Veteto Obituary

Eleanor F. Veteto NORFOLK - Eleanor F. Veteto, 69, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at a local hospital. A native of Norfolk, Eleanor was retired from Valu Options as an accountant. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Carmody Wood; two sons, Jerry Carmody (Mary) and Rory Carmody, all of Norfolk; a sister, Marjorie F. Bean of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren, Amanda Wood, Meghan Martin, Michael Wood, Thomas Carmody, Shannon Wood, and Emma Wilson. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Thomas Carmody. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Fr. Leo Manalo officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com. The family will also receive friends at her daughter's home, 132 Cherry St. after the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Norfolk Botanical Gardens, Wildlife Center of Virginia.
