Harriet Hampton Obituary

Harriet Dinzes Hampton PORTSMOUTH - Harriet Dinzes Hampton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, 78, formerly of the 3000 block of Courtney Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 in a Portsmouth hospital. A native of Bronx, N.Y., she was the widow of James Leo Hampton. Survivors include two daughters, Laura H. Johnson and husband Donnie of Portsmouth and Stacey L. Sult and husband John of Chesapeake; a son, Michael H. Hampton and wife Janeen of Portsmouth; a sister, Robin Atkins and husband Joel of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Travis Johnson, Jason and Jacob Rose; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, in Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com.
