PEORIA - Gladys M. Grebner, age 65, of Peoria passed away at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 1, 2007, at her residence.
She was born April 8, 1941, in Hot Springs, Ark., to William C. and Anna Marie Ritter.
Gladys married Philip Grebner on Dec. 31, 1964, at the Naval Air Station, Lemore, Calif. He survives.
She was a U.S. Navy veteran and was formerly employed by the United States Department of Agriculture as a purchasing agent for several years prior to her retirement in 1998.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Luttrell of Washington, Susan (Dennis) Werry of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Barbara (Michael) Ginsberg of Olathe, Kan.; her grandchildren, Megan Grebner, Emma Luttrell, Jacob Ginsberg, Daniel Ginsberg, Mary Rose Luttrell, Hannah Ginsberg, Sophia Werry and Aidan Werry; her stepgrandson, Mark Luttrell; her brothers, Billy Joe Ritter, J.B. Ritter, Fred Green and Doug Green; her sisters, Deloris Ritter and Bernadine Nichols; her sister-in-law, Kay Ritter, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wayne Ritter.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service for Gladys will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Washington with Pastor Rodney Groff officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure Peoria Memorial Affiliate.
Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
