Uncle Les we will miss you. When I was growing up, you were my favorite Uncle because you were one of the kids! I am so thankful that I grew up in such a close-knit family. I'm sure I will see you again. Thanks for being part of my life.

My grandfather was not only my grandfather, but my bestfriend. He did the most amazing things with me and always knew how to make me smile! He was always there for me especialy when I needed a ride. I would try to offer him money or a nice cold beer, that was his favorite thing. His response was always you shouldn't do that this is not a taxi we are family and this is what family does.

I will definetly miss this family member and best friend.

I will always love you and I will definetly see you up in heaven with the ocean to swim in and the nice cold beer. I hope you have one loud birthday song waiting for me, or maybe you can sing it on my birthday and I will hear you from up there!!!!

love always ericca

Tessie Drobny, Gene Drobny and Pat (Drobny)McCabe send our condolences to the Bowen Family.
I remember when Lester would be a part of a hunting deer party..five guys enjoying the past-time of deer hunting, Lester, brother Elvin, Jeff Chamberlin, John Drobny and Gene Drobny. After the season was over, they would celebrate the deer season with a party at different houses. A few times it was at the Drobny home. They all had fun. My mom has looked at the pictures of those days.
Lester is in a much better place, but he will be missed by all who knew him!
But who ever figured after Lester's birthday was in the Press, that the Lord would call him home! I guess you really don't know when you will be called home!

Grandpa, i miss you so badly already. I remember you teaching me to play so many card games. and i will deffinatly miss that. I always will remember how julie and i would play hide and seek in the living room, and then you always saying where things were. i will really miss the yelling that you did, which embarassed us all, but then at the same time, we loved it. i will miss you so very much.

we all love you<3

I only had the pleasure of meeting Lester once, but that sole meeting left an impression on me. He had a spark in his eye and a keen wit to match. Much of what I know of him has come through stories told to me by Cass, and from those I know two things. One is that he was very well loved, and two, that he returned that love tenfold. My condolences go out to all during this trying time.

My grandfather was a great man. He was always asking you to pull his finger or tell a dirty joke. He taught Ericca and I how to play poker and swim at the IBM country club. He played "I spy" with us in the living room until we were tired. He was our personal taxi driver on many occasions. He loved his peanuts and his cold beer. He faught in World War II and claims that the war ended right after "he" joined. If you've ever heard him raise his voice, you'd run for the hills too.
Most of all he loved my grandmother and the family that came with her.

You will be missed grandpa.

Love, Cass
