Beverly Rossi Obituary
of Endicott, N.Y.
(formerly of Maine, N.Y.)
Beverly "Peg" Rossi, 80, with her loving family around her, was called home to be with her Lord on July 17, 2008 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Cecil, Sr. and Florence Pitcher, formerly of Maine, N.Y.; her brother, Leigh Stewart Pitcher, Maine, N.Y.; and her son, Ronald Rossi. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, John Rossi, Endicott; two sons and daughters-in-law, James, Sr. and Colleen Rossi, Endicott, Gary and Sovila Rossi, Vestal; one daughter, Sharon Rossi, Endicott; four grandchildren, Jennifer Rossi-Dold and husband, Joseph, James Rossi, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Mark Rossi and Andrea Rossi; one great-granddaughter, Jaime Rossi, who was the love of Peg's life and brought her much happiness; one brother and sister-in-law, Cecil, Jr. and Alice Pitcher, Endicott; one sister-in-law, Muriel Pitcher, Endicott; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one special niece, Diane Monell, Maine, N.Y. Peg and her husband, John, enjoyed traveling, including cruises and trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, Bermuda, and the Adirondacks. Peg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter who loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, W. Main Street, Endicott. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to thank South Tower 5 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Ross 1 at Lourdes Hospital, Dr. Fallon and staff, Lourdes Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Peg during her illness, and each person who sent a card or prayed on her behalf. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd., Vestal, N.Y. 13850, or the American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
