Steven Stark
of Harpursville
Steven Stark, 60, died unexpectedly, Friday, July 18, 2008. Steven was born in New York City to Dorothy O'Shay Stark Best and Fred Stark. He was of Irish, Polish and Hebrew decent. Steven is survived by Sheldon and Susan Butler, Harpursville with whom Steven lived. He leaves behind the Butler children, Dave, Mike, Matt and Holli, and their families; Grandma and Grandpa Quimby; and Aunt Barb; housemates, Jeff, Scott and Ted; former care provider and friend, Jeff Mueller; respite worker, Ed Wood; cab driver, Doug; and his many friends at Shepherd's Camp. Steven enjoyed participating at Susquehanna Day Hab. He loved his church tapes, the moon and stars, going to the movies, especially the drive in, eating out, shopping and going to camp. Steven's family would like to express thanks to all of those who were involved in Steven's care at BDS and BDC, Susquehanna Day Hab, Kelly, Linda and Sam from Bassett Health Clinic, Sidney who were always there when Steven needed their care. They are grateful to Officer Little of the NYSP, Broome Emergency Squad, Sanataria Springs Med Team, Colesville Ambulance and Wilson Hospital for their help in the last moments of Steven's life. Steven is now at Peace.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Michael Shank officiating. Interment will follow service in Glenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial contributions in Steven's name may be made to the Broome Developmental Center, 249 Glenwood Avenue, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905. Expressions of sympathy for the family may be forwarded to [email protected].

to the butler family.....sorry to hear of your loss... as care providers we know how one gets so attached to our extended family...
