Anna Petcosky "Anka" Mack, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, the day before her 84th birthday. She was born on July 23rd in Forest City, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Nickolas and Mary Petcosky; her infant brother, Steven Petcosky; brothers, Nickolas, Joseph Petcosky and John Petrosky; infant sister, Dorothy, and her sisters-in-law, Ellie Petcosky and Beverly Petrosky. She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Timothy Mack, Binghamton; her brothers, Andrew Petcosky, Vestal, Donald and Marie Petcosky, Windsor, Paul and Peg Petcosky, Vestal; her sister, Mary and Tom Gallagher, Vestal; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Petcosky, Houston, Texas. She also had many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she found great delight in. Anna was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Church. She served her country as a member of WACS in WWII. During her life, she was employed at Kroehlers and McKallor Drugs in Binghamton. Anna was an amazing woman, wonderful mother, treasured sister, adoring aunt and beloved friend to many. Her greatest joy was her son, Timothy, and her large extended family. She also had a very special relationship with Matthew and Jessica Arnold, whom she cared very deeply for as if they were her own. Anna was an avid Yankee fan and it was one of the things she enjoyed most in life, along with her Tuesday card games with her lady friends. Her son would like to especially thank her very dear friend and neighbor, Nadine Cornell, whose exceptional care of Anna never went unnoticed. She touched Anna's heart very deeply. Tim would also like to thank the many people who helped care for her during her illness: Peg and Paul Petcosky, Shannon Petcosky, Mary and Tom Gallagher, Don and Marie Petcosky, Jackie Petcosky, Kim Petcosky, Pat Cornell, Patty Arnold, Rosemary Breslin, Viv Eames and Bonnie O'Hara. He also extends his gratitude to the staff of Ross 1 and Lynne Hefferon of Lourdes Hospital and last but not least, Dr. McCarville for his constant care and attention.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday, July 26th, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Binghamton. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at The Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, New York, Friday from 4 till 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can go to American Cancer Society, 31 Adams Ave., Endicott, New York 13760; or to St. Paul's Church, 15 Doubleday Street, Binghamton, New York 13904 in memory of Anna Mack. May god bless you and keep you safe always. May you know how deeply and constantly you have touched our hearts and lives, and just how much we loved you. I couldn't have loved you more than if you were my own mother. Aunt Ann will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Though the road ahead is going to be long and hard for Timmy, he has all of us to protect him and keep him safe and that is exactly what we will do. We will all get through this together. The only savings grace is that Aunt Ann is at peace now and in a better place! May you always watch over all of us, not just your "YANKEES."

Missing you and loving you always,
Shannon, David, Aubrey, Halley, Riley, Elliot and Ethan
