Stella E. Hovanich
of Vestal
Stella E. Hovanich, 92, of Vestal, passed away at her home surrouned by her family on Friday, July 25, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Hovanich; her parents, Walenty and Mary Pragacz; and two brothers, Stanley and Adam Pragacz. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea (Larry) Stack, Vestal; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward (Janet) Pragacz, Binghamton, and Walter Pragacz, Johnson City; five sisters and their spouses, Sophie Margetanski, Fla., Charlotte (Bill) Pedro, W. Windsor, Sally DeVoe, Pa., Theresa (Larry) Morton, Endicott, Irene Smith, Seattle, Washington; sister-in-law, Mary Monkovich, Endicott; seven grandchildren, Kris and Sunny Mirchandi, Alabama, Jim and Veronica Stack, Pa., Sharon and Don Stento, Binghamton, Robert Stack, N.C.; six great-grandchildren, Andy, Eric and Brian Stack, Pa., Ellyn, Phillip and Tyler Weston, Binghamton. Stella was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity and a GAF Corp. employee. Stella was a devoted grandmother whose greatest pleasure were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. at Laskowski Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
