Dear Brenda, Carol, Jan, Tom and family,
When I think of Aunt Irene I always smile. I will always remember her smile also. All my memories of her are good ones and seem like only yesterday. I'm so sorry I wasn't able to attend. We were away.
My sympathy for your loss.

Mrs. Mather was such a blessing to my mother and me when we were members at the church in Vestal back in the early 70s. May God give the family members grace and peace of heart during this time. What a joyous thought to know that Mrs. Mather is now "face to face" with Christ, her Savior!

REV. AND MRS MATHER WERE A HUGE IMPACT ON MY LIFE. ONE OF THE FEW TRUE CHRISTIAN COUPLES THAT WALKED THE WAY THEY TALKED---ALWAYS. THANK YOU BOTH FOR THAT.

Carol and family Deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved Mom. The memories I have of your loving, caring parents still bring a smile to my face. They endeared themselves to me and the wonderful memories I will carry always for they always treated my sister and I as one of their own. Very loving, kind FRIENDS. I'm glad they are together in Gods kingdom.

Jan & family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Mather was a wonderful neighbor who made us feel so welcome when we moved here. She even taught me how to cook venison! She was a godly woman and will be dearly missed. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you the remaining family of Irene. Maxine and I were blessed to have known such dear friends as your parents. It is with mixed feeling we learned of Irene's "home going". Our prayers are with you as we know a great heavenly reunion has taken place as Irene joins her beloved Tom. We thank the Lord for having been privileged to have our lives enriched as a result of their friendship.

Irene was such a caring and sweet Christian woman. She was especially caring when my nephew was diagnosed with Prader-Willi. Now she has joined the many who have gone Home before her and she has once again seen Tom, whom she always showed great love and respect for. She made a real impression on my life and so many others at First Baptist Church in JC. It was a joy to have known her.
Our sympathy goes out to her family at this time, but join them as they await that great reunion with her one day!
We pray God's comfort for them.

A Reminiscence
YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.
May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.
Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;
To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.

My deepest sympathy for the entire family. I met Tom and Irene when I drove a school bus, briefly, for Vestal Schools. What an absolutely great couple. I know that they are together again. May God Hold You In The Palm Of HIS Hand.
