Virginia Homa Obituary
of Vestal
Virginia B. Homa, 87, of Vestal, passed away in her home on July 27, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Homa, her sister, Norma Fitzgerald and brother, William Book. She is survived by her children: son, Richard Homa, Vestal; son and daughter-in-law, William and Carolyn Homa, Cape Elizabeth, Maine; daughter and son-in-law, Jo Anne and David Barone, Fitchburg, Massachusetts; and five grandchildren: Nicole, Christopher, Matthew, Melissa and Stephen. Virginia was a Real Estate Broker and Vice President of Look Real Estate in Vestal, and Vice President of United Appraisal Service before retiring in 1998. After retirement, she was active in the Monday Afternoon Club until her illness.
A private service will be held at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home in Vestal on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory may be made to the ALS Foundation or to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Vestal Rd., Vestal, N.Y. 13850.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Ginny's passing. She was a great friend whom I will miss very much. I met her at Look Real Estate and felt lucky to have known her. I know how much her children and she loved each other and know she'll be waiting to greet us someday in heaven.

Aunt Virginia was very kind to me. She helped me out when I needed help the most. Her sharp mind and no-nonsense approach to life taught me alot. She will be missed.
