Dear Aunt Mary,
Even in your sadness we hope you can hold on to the thought that a life lived with so much love and caring never really ends but goes on in all the hearts of those who loved & had the privilege of knowing Uncle Bill.
Remember that you are not alone. You have many caring people who love you and will not forget you. I also , like my brother Tom will remember the wonderful times at Gary Lake.
We love you very much and am sending you a big Texas hug.
You are in our prayers as well.

Aunt Mary, I'm so sorry for the passing of Uncle Bill. When I was young I was so proud to have you two as my god parents. Being away from Binghamton for the last 35 years, I didn't see Uncle Bill that much. Wish we could of played a few more rounds of golf. I will miss his e-mails he started sending me about six months ago when he learned about computers. The e-mails reminded me of his humorous ways. I'm picturing Uncle Bill with his siblings at the lake, just like old times.
Love, Tommy

Dearest Mary: Words can't express my sorrow for your loss. Even though our homes are far apart, our hearts are next door neighbors. The memories of our visit to New York will never be forgotten - especially our golf games when my husband Mac was with us. Now they are both with God, perhaps playing a round of golf together. I love you Mary. I will keep in touch.

I have been privileged to have had a next door neighbor such as Bill Patrick, along with his wife Mary. Always extending a helping hand, and many little things that good neighbors do. Occasionally I would call him 'Billy-Boy' and he liked that. Reminded him of years past. Sometimes we would reminisce about our World War II experiences, ups and down of the N.Y.Yankees, and the commonality of our ages, and the year we were married to our spouses (1951). He will be missed.

I first met Bill in 1965 when he was with V.J. Smith and we have been friends ever since. Bill and his buddy John Farrell helped me understand the construction business. It was always my pleasure and education to be around Bill...he was one of the most competent, knowledgeable contractors in the business. He and John played off each other making my trips to Smith most enjoyable.

Dear Mary,
We are very sad to hear of Bill's passing. When we visited with him last weekend in the hospital, he was putting up a great fight with his illness. May you find some comfort in knowing that God has called home a wonderful man with a big heart. Gary and I have always thought the world of both you and Bill and think of you as family. Every time Gary mows our lawn, he thinks of Bill!! Please remember that if you ever need us, we're only a phone call away. We love you both Mary, and hope these words convey our heartfelt sympathy. Sincerely,
