Julia Vizcarrondo Obituary
of Binghamton
Julia Vizcarrondo, 82, of Binghamton, passed away on August 1, 2008 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The daughter of Arsenio Roman and Carmen Castro, she was born on May 25, 1926 on Saturce, Puerto Rico. She was the wife of Salvador Vizcarrondo, who passed away on March 8, 1984. A Home Health Aide for Catholic Charities of New York City, she retired in 1984. Julia had been a resident of Binghamton since 1984. Mrs. Vizcarrondo is survived by her son, Salvador Vizcarrondo; son and daughter-in-law, Nelson and Joann Vizcarrondo; son, Henry Vizcarrondo; son, Jose Feliciano; daughters, Norma Vizcarrondo, Julia Feliciano; sisters, Maria Ortiz, Anna Casado; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Al Feliciano in 1987; a daughter, Carmen Vizcarrondo-Bullock in 2007; and one great-granddaughter.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12603. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lindley, N.J.
