of Vestal
William "Bill" Fitzgerald, 87, of Vestal, died peacefully Monday afternoon, August 4th, at the Veterans Home in Oxford, N.Y. His parents, John and Betty Fitzgerald; his brother, John Fitzgerald; and sister, Louise Corse, predeceased him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Dr. Lynne Fitzgerald, Morehead, Ky., Pamela Fitzgerald, Endicott, N.Y., and Kimberly Fitzgerald, Binghamton, N.Y.; granddaughters, Stacy and husband, Jason Marcocci and Paula Mallery; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill worked for many years as a loan officer at the First City National Bank in Owego, was a member of the United Vestal Center Methodist Church, and was a veteran who served in the Air Force during WWII.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday morning at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main Street, Vestal. Pastor Roger Frederick will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Southern Tier, 401 Hayes Avenue, Endicott, N.Y. 13760.

Lynn, Pam & Kim, So sorry about the passing of your Dad. He was a very sweet man and gave us bulbs from his flower garden (Dalhias) that he was very proud of. The neighborhood will really miss him and his walks. God Bless you all. Love, Nancy
