Richard Badger Obituary
of Lakeland, Fla.
Richard Badger, 61, died August 4 at his home. Mr. Badger was born March 12, 1947 in Binghamton, N.Y. and moved to Lakeland 18 years ago. He graduated from North High, class of 1965 and New York State University at Geneseo, with a Bachelor's degree. He was a pharmaceutical salesman for Johnson and Johnson and had also been a member of the Peace Corps. He liked sports, riding his motorcycle and traveling. Mr. Badger was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Badger; and sister, JoAnn Badger. He is survived by his wife, Kay Badger; sons, Scott Badger and Jason Badger; grandson, Kaseton Badger; mother, Leona Badger; and brothers, Robert Badger, Raymond Badger, David Badger and Brian Badger.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, Fla. 33823.

K, this I am sure, will be the hardest part you are going to face. Nothing compares to the dedication you have had over the last few years. All the love and compassion you've shown to Ric thru your faithfull service to him, knowing you couldn't do anything to fix what was broken. But there you were every waking day, by his side. The boy's are terrific. Lean on them, they want to help ease your pain. They,close friends and family, will try to comfort you. Now and far into the future. Kay, please know I am here for you and the boy's.....I've been remembering the many trips we have taken over the last 16-17 years..I can still hear this voice telling me to "hurry or we'll be doing lunch instead of breakfast." He was very special to me!!! Dan & I are a phone call away. All our love to you, my special friend, for always. T.

I am saddend to learn of Ricks passing. I still remember the fun we use to have in the neighborhood, as it used to be called Valley View. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Kay, Mrs. Badger and family.....I am so sorry to hear about Rick.....we had many great times playing basketball and baseball, sometimes together and sometimes against each other....I will keep all those good thoughts with me......Scott and Jason, your dad was a very good athlete, but a better person.
