Roselyn Treat Obituary

Roselyn J. Treat
of Johnson City
Roselyn (Rosie) J. Treat, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the age of 90 after a short illness. She was born March 31, 1918 in Lakeville, Pa. to Leo and Hazel Treat, both of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Beth Kattell, Johnson City, Dawn (George) Sweet, Johnson City; a nephew, Gary Kattell; and a niece, Betsy Sojda. Roselyn graduated from Hawley High School in Hawley, Pa. in 1936 and from the Lowell Business School in Binghamton, N.Y. in 1940. She worked as a bookkeeper and credit manager for various Binghamton area firms, including Babcock, Hinds and Underwood, L.J. Kingsley, Maines Paper and Food, and Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Roselyn was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church since 1940 and belonged to its Susannah Wesley Circle. The family would like to thank the staff of Lourdes Hospital and Hilltop Retirement Center for their outstanding care.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 18, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hilltop Retirement Center Chapel, 286 Deyo Hill Road, Johnson City. The Rev. Lea Harding will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Lakeville Cemetery, Lakeville, Pa. at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 83 Main St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905; or Hilltop Retirement Center; or the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, Inc.
