Edward Blair Post
of Port Charlotte, Fla.
Edward Blair Post, 73, of Port Charlotte, Fla., lost his battle with cancer July 30, 2008. He was born September 30, 1934 in Clearfield, Pa. to William and Lorraine Post. Edward served in the Air Force and was stationed in Japan. He retired from Sears after 34 years in Binghamton, N.Y., and moved to Port Charlotte in 1993. He worked at Radio Shack part-time. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, MaryEllen Tyler; son, S. Blair (Karen) Post, Venice, Fla., and son, Jeffrey Post, New Milford, Pa.; grandchildren, Evan, Adam and Megan; sisters, Norma (John) Milks, Olean, N.Y., and Karen Panatlino, Niagara Falls, N.Y. He is predeceased by his parents; his brother, Bobby Post; and sister, Carol Barco.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Tidewell Hospice, 917 N. Arcadia Ave., Arcadia Fla. 34266, where Ed spent his final days and was cared for with kindness and heart filled respect. A memorial service is to be scheduled at a later date. Mrs. Post, Steve & Jeff: I'm so sorry to hear the loss of such a kind hearted man. I remember when Steve and I would go and visit him at Sears where he took such pride in his work. He will be sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I first met Ed in 1959 when I began my career with Sears. Like Ed, I too had almost 34 years with the company. I had the pleasure of both working with Ed and also being his manager for 7 years. I considered him to both be an excellent employee and also a close friend. Bev and I wish to convey our condolences and prayers to Mary Ellen, Steven and Jeff.
