Mary E. Merrell
of Harpursville
Mary E. Merrell, 75, of Harpursville, died at 11:20 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her son, Christopher in 1971. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne M. Merrell and Todd L. Cortwright, Pt. Crane, five sons and daughters-in-law, Mark D. and Jean Merrell, Vestal, David P. Merrell, Hillcrest, Kevin W. and Patricia Merrell, Endicott, Allan and Ruthann Merrell, Windsor, John P. and Debra Merrell, Conklin; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosie and Dick Martin, Cary, N.C., Valerie and Frank Lagalente, Va., Kathleen and James Walsh, Harpursville; and also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sanitaria Springs and was active in many church activities.
Funeral Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple Street, Harpursville, on Friday at 12:15 p.m. and at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
