Marie E. Kerwin
of Johnson City
Marie E. Kerwin, 93, of Johnson City died Sunday evening, August 24, 2008, at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was predeceased by her brothers, James and Vincent Kerwin. She is survived by her sister, Loretta Kerwin, Johnson City; her niece and nephews, Mary Louise and Don Hantula, James Kerwin, David Kerwin, Sean Kerwin and Michael Kerwin; several great-nieces and nephews and a very dear friend, Christeen Gnad and family. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Johnson City; a graduate of Hartwick College and took graduate courses at Syracuse University. Marie was a retired Medical Librarian for the Broome County Medical Society and Binghamton General Hospital, retiring after 37 years. She enjoyed traveling, concerts and had a wide variety of interests. She was a kind and compassionate person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of James G. Johnston Memorial Nursing and Wilson Memorial Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cenacle Plaza, Johnson City, Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-6 p.m.

She was a great friend to my grandmother and aside from myself, the first tax return I ever completed for the IRS. I owe much gratitude for helping me take a huge step in life. She will be dearly missed.
