Jean Turner Obituary
of Apalachin
Jean R. Turner, 85, of Apalachin, passed away at her home Monday, August 25, 2008, where she went home to the arms of Jesus and her predeceased loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and one brother. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Stanley Sturdevant, Binghamton, Mary Ellen and David Waite, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Lisa (Waite) and husband, Jason Paxton, Matthew Waite and Christopher Ayers; three great-grandsons and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the South Apalachin Baptist Church, Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the memorial fund of the church. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., State Rt. 434, Apalachin.

Jane and Mary Ellen,
Susan and I are very sorry for your loss. Your mother was a great wealth of information in genealogy. I will sorely miss the many conversations with Jean about our ancestors. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the funeral. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May God always be with you.
