I don´t know what made me look up Jon, but I am blown away that he had passed- and so long ago. I am sorry for all he left behind, Tricia, Alaina and Liana in particular. I went to Cortland with Jon. He and Tim were BFFs-- they tried to convince me they were from long island and brothers! But at the end of the day, we all became great friends. We spent a lot of time together over the years and made lots of memories. Met dad Charles, stayed with grandma at her home (baths only!) and loved her special "toast." By now Alaina and Liana are all grown and I am sure beautiful, strong and independent. I don´t know what else to say. Sorry for the loss, sorry I didn´t know, sorry it took so long to post. Peace. Erica

I miss my High School friend and think of you often Jon. "If I could reach up and hold a star for every time I think of you and smile , the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand."

Miss you and love you Uncle Jon.

Each and every day since you have passed has been a difficult one for me. I miss you so very much. I miss your smile, your piercing eyes, your voice, your phone calls, and your wanted and sometimes unwanted brotherly advice. I miss going home and sitting on the couch with you and just talking. I miss you Jonathan. You will never be forgotten. You are always on my mind and forever in my heart.

My Prayer for you is that God himself holds your hand and walks with you, sharing his love, protection, and wisdom. But most of all, may he bring peace to your heart, mind and your soul.

For now, what I will try to keep in the forefront of my mind is this life on earth is just a blink of the eye and we live it in preparation for the eternal life that awaits us which we will indeed share with those who are now with the Lord- Until we meet again, Jonathan. I love you.

Love, Valerie

I knew Jon through my time spent in Bovina living at his Cousins. He was in college at the time and we we looked after his wonderful dog Thor. Jon would visit the Gerry estate sometimes on the weekends, tinker all day on his car, often pulling it apart to keep it on the road. He was so driven and motivated to provide himself and those around him a good life.
A good man gone to soon

I was one of Jon's best friends during the later part of high school and then attended college with Jon at SUNY Cortland. After college life took us seperate ways but I was fortunate to have the chance to reconnect with Jon over the last few years and once visited him at his house in Binghamton. I am sorry for your loss but am sure that Jon has is doing just fine where ever he is.

To Jon-

Hey brother, I was sorry to hear about your passing. I am glad we at least got the chance to reconnect. I enjoyed our telephone calls. As usual, you made me laugh as we had a chance to relive memories of the time we spent as best friends and brothers. I wish we had the chance to reconnect more but you have not gone far and I am sure I'll see you again. I thank you for the time you spent as my friend and would not be who I am today if it had not been for the time you gave to me as a friend. You could always be counted on to get to the center of the action and make things happen. Until we meet again...

I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm the mother of Jon's high school friend, Mary Ann Sangiorgio Geraghty. I have happy memories of the two of them together (never as boyfriend and girlfriend, to my knowledge...). Jon would come over to "study" and they would mainly be laughing and joking around. One time I was trying to help them with their accounting homework (I'm a CPA) and there was much more hilarity than debits and credits. He was a sweet person and very kind. My deepest sympathy to you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how you feel as I have felt the same pain. Jon is in a better place where there is no pain, only love and lightness. He will always be with you and his girls. He talked so kindly of all of you.

I am saddened by this news. A few nights ago I was looking back at our yearbook. Jon had written such a nice note--he was kind and compassionate, with a slightly mischievous twist! He definitely knew how to talk his way into and out of situations! May you and your daughters find peace and comfort, knowing how much goodwill Jon contributed to the world. Kind thoughts are with you. Christine Finch

My heart aches at the sad news of the loss of Jon. He is a bright shining light from my past at Delaware Academy in Delhi. What fun wonderful experiences I had with Jon, who was always hilariously funny and had a depth of warmth, kindness and caring rarely seen in a teenage boy, or anyone for that matter. Nothing will ever change the gift Jon gave to this world and to those whose lives he touched. Those of us who knew him will carry it forever.

I am truly shocked and saddened by the news; I’m so terribly sorry for your loss I knew Jon from Delhi and have many memories of him. It makes me smile when I think of the times we shared, partying, laughing, making mischief or not paying attention in class and passing notes. We used to make the teachers get so mad at us for not paying attention but Jon had this way about him they would always forgive him, meanwhile I would be in detention. We rode the Bus in HS together, and while I wasn’t in his “cool” group of friends, Jon always treated me with respect and (cool or not) we remained friends. I admired in Jon, once you were his friend, who you were in life didn’t matter to him, as long as you were a good friend that’s all he cared about. He was a great wrestler and brought a lot of Pride to DA. I will miss him
